This qualification is aimed at individuals who would like to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to operate within the warehousing environment. In particular, this level 2 qualification would be most appropriate for Warehouse Operatives.
The topics covered in the mandatory unit group include: health, safety and security at work and developing effective working relationships with colleagues. Optional unit topics could include picking goods, wrapping goods, packing of goods, process or assembling orders, maintaining cleanliness or hygiene standards, moving and/or handling goods, use equipment, stock level maintenance and stock level checking.
To complete the HABC Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage (QCF) learners should expect to undertake between 99 – 125 hours of learning, depending upon unit choice.The overall qualification requires learners to successfully achieve a minimum of 26 credits. These credits will be completed, through the achievement of the 2 mandatory units (7 credits) and the remaining credits will be taken from the optional unit group.
This qualification is assessed using a range of methods including observations of competence and a learner portfolio.
